Origins

rulramirez.com/objetos

Poetry comes out of me
Not like from:
Not like to:
Not like a gift tag
but like sweat
from heat
that surges in
arteries, veins
gushing to
the heart
pumped to
the brain
bursting from storage into
a sprinkling of
runes on paper
coerced to
orderly print from
neatly tucked emotions
autographed by
ethnic flavors
perfected, proofed
conditioned like wild hair
clipped literary tendrils
recorded, preserved
exposed, criticized
loved, hated, misunderstood
respected, ignored, forgotten,
from me
to you......

  1. Nice poem, I wish I could describe how poetry comes to me this beautifully, but the way it comes to me doesn't even make sense to me at times, I don't think the style is shadorma but it's a good write up.

  2. like your style :) ~ you get used to haiku structure ~ really good ~ I quite enjoyed the shadorma form ~ as in Haiku as you said don't think necessarily nature rooted ~ or as I saw it ~ but enjoyed it ~ and yours too very much ~ Lib ~ @libithina

  6. Thank you all for taking the time to read me and comment. I didn't realize I was signing myself up for Shadorma style but now I can't wait to try it.

  7. Wow! I like "autographed by ethnic flavors" and "conditioned like wild hair". Your poetry is such a gift. It must come out. Lucky us.

  8. I don't think I'll ever understand non rhyming poetry - but understand it or not, what you have written there is poetry.

    And it is good
